How to Grow

This ESL lesson plan is designed around a short video titled How to “Grow” – The Hard Truth About Growth and the themes of growth and how to grow as a person. Students learn vocabulary related to growth and personal development, talk about growth and how to grow as a person, discuss quotations about growth, predict the content of a short video, watch a short video, answer comprehension questions, analyse a short video, write about what they have learned from viewing a short video, develop critical thinking skills by exploring issues raised in a short video, read an article, answer comprehension questions, perform a roleplay, and reflect on the lesson.

Language level: Upper Intermediate (B2) – Advanced (C1)

Time: 90–120 minutes
