‘The Power of Gratitude’ Lesson Plan

This ESL lesson plan is designed around a short video titled The Power of Gratitude in Uncertainty and the theme of gratitude. Students learn vocabulary related to gratitude and appreciation, talk about gratitude, discuss quotations about gratitude, predict the content of a short video, watch a short video, answer comprehension questions, analyse a short video, write about what they have learned from viewing a short video, develop critical thinking skills by exploring issues raised in a short video, read an article, answer comprehension questions, discuss topics raised in an article, write about what they have learned from reading an article, perform a roleplay, and reflect on the lesson.

Language level: Pre-intermediate (A2) – Intermediate (B1)

Time: 90–120 minutes
