I’ve introduced a new donation system to help cover the many costs of mantaining Film English as a free and ad-free resource site for teachers. The EFL lessons on the site are used by eighty thousand teachers every month. I appreciate that most teachers are not well-paid and in many countries many teachers can’t afford to make a donation, but as I don’t charge anything for the free EFL lesson plans and don’t accept advertising, the only way to keep the site free is through the generous donation of teachers, school owners and directors of studies. .
I’d ask owners and directors of schools whose teacher are using Film English with their students to consider paying a monthly subscription or a one-off payment. If your teachers are happy using the free EFL materials, the students are benefiting too, so it only seems far to consider helping support the site. I’d also ask owners of schools and training institutions who are extensively using Film English materials on online training courses to consider making a payment. Below you can see the new donation box.
Support Film English
Film English remains ad-free and takes many hours a month to research and write, and hundreds of dollars to sustain. If you find any joy or value in it, please consider supporting Film English with a monthly subscription, or by contributing a one-off payment.
You can support English in one of two ways: by paying a monthly subscription or making a one-off payment. Choose the quantity you can afford.
I’m doing my very best to keep Film English free, but it costs me thousands of euros and takes hundreds of hours of my available time every year.
Thanks for your support.
